For this install, we removed a “very used” stock-factory type seat.

wide_ride01

We are installing a low-base / wide-ride ultra leather seat by Bostrom (shown here with base fully inflated)

wide_ride02

Seen here: Low-Base seat (left) fully inflated is still a little lower than factory seat (right) completely deflated

wide_ride03

Shown here: Both seats completely deflated

wide_ride04

Approximate height of deflated low-base seat – 11 inches – floor board to seat cushion (*newer Bostrom Low Ride seats are 14 inches)

wide_ride05

Cut a cardboard or paper template the exact size of the bottom base of your new low-base seat. Then place in your truck as shown – mark & punch all four holes.

wide_ride06

Take pattern, overlay on new seat base, line up 2 front holes on template “in-line” with factory drilled holes on seat base

wide_ride07

Once template is firmly in position, mark holes with magic marker and center punch. Then drill marked holes with 7/16 drill bit.

wide_ride08

Set seat into position – start from 2 bolts, then connect air line and inflate seat so you can access rear bolts more easily. Tighten all bolts.

wide_ride09

You will need to locate (2) 7/16 fine thread nuts to secure factory seat belts to your Bostrom seat – you can re-use factory bolts.

Now you can “ride low” & “cruise slow” like the Cowboyz – Baby!
