October Boss MinutesWow! . . ..all I can say is – WOW! Here at CSM Headquarters, we just wrapped up our 2 day truck show and customer appreciation event, the “Guilty By Association” Truck Show on October 9th and 10th, and it was AN ABSOLUTE BLAST! We were so thrilled and happy with the participation and attendance from our friends, fans, and great customers! There was a great ‘vibe’ in the air and everyone was content, relaxed, and happy to be here. It was a super time for all who attended! Now, ol’ BossMan was a lil’ nervous because we haven’t ever hosted an organized, two day event before! But it couldn’t have went much better! There were 97 trucks on the ground and 72 in our truck show contest. Our goal was to keep the competition relaxed, low-stress, fun, and more of a ‘re-union’ than a harsh competition. Once again . . .it went great! Mission accomplished! Many of our vendors/manufacturers were in attendance to visit with folks and answer questions, as well as roving reporters from all the industry’s top magazines – this was one of the most widely attended Truck Shows I have ever seen in regards to manufacturer and press participation……Special Thanks to all of these individuals who attended! There was activity, excitement, and ‘hustle bustle’ everywhere! The ‘bargain basement’ was a hit! Drivers were carrying ‘deals’ outta there by the armload! Everything in the entire store and salvage yard was at least 10% off normal prices, there were ‘tours’ going thru the entire facility on a regular basis (sometimes there were 70+ folks in a tour group!). It was really neat to see the interest in our operation from the attendees at the show! Concerts were ‘1st Class’ both nites. Matt Coleman put on a fantastic show Friday and the Road Hammers rocked the house on Saturday nite too! The concert came complete with a classic ‘bonfire’ on Saturday night . . . once again . . . it was great! I must tell ya, I am so proud of our staff! Many of them worked countless extra hours on a regular basis leading up to this event. And with no complaints – this crew is dedicated and excited to be the best lil’ chrome shop and parts house in the nation! All our folks take pride in offering our customers the very best in customer service and parts knowledge in the industry! To all our staff…..lemme say a sincere THANK YOU. Largely due to your sacrifice and efforts, this event was a success! Let me wrap up with this last thought. This event was rightfully named as a “Truck Show And Customer Expo.” Our goal was to provide a truck show where we can show you how much we appreciate your business, your friendship, and try our best to provide you with an enjoyable and fun weekend. You folks are great! You may not know it, but having you here at our place and seeing the smiles on your faces, and sharing the conversations you had with many of us………..Each of you was a huge encouragement to us! Thank You, it was such a fun weekend and we are proud to have been able to play a small part in putting together an event for you, and I appreciate your time and efforts to slow down, take a day or two off, have a good time together, and show off your trucks! Keep the faith . . . mark your calendars……….look ahead…………Just a lil’ over 350 days until we can do it again!! The “Guilty By Association Truck Show and Customer Expo,” an official event from Chrome Shop Mafia, is Oct 1 and 2, 2010. Ha Ha Ha . . . Life is good today! Trucks is what we all love . . . it’s the dog-gone trucking that aggrivates us sometime!!
